SUMMARY -- SOUTHWEST PRINT FIESTA 2025

We loved going to Silver City, New Mexico for the 9th Annual SOUTHWEST PRINT FIESTA -- October 10th - 13th, 2025 -- in spite of a some rain:

More specifically, we put on 4 EXQUISITE TESSELLATION events:

EXHIBITION
EXQUISITE TESSELLATION Exhibition
of linocuts from the Albuquerque and El Paso collections,
at Power & Light Press

QUICK TESSELLATION WORKSHOP
Over 52 people came to the Quick Tessellation Workshop
at Future Forge Makerspace

At the after-party we hand printed collaborations from linocuts from collections in the three desert cities -- TUCSON, EL PASO and ALBUQUERQUE -- that surround Silver City, New Mexico:

The DESERT TRIANGLE PRINT CARPETA
also showcased artists from TUCSON, ALBUQUERQUE and EL PASO
in 2015, ten years earlier

OPENINGS

The Southwest Print Fiesta kicked off at the OPEN SPACE BREWERY on Thursday, October 9, 2025, with an exhibition of past big Steamroller Prints:

SILCO THEATRE

TRAVIS SMITH of Austin gave a talk at the Silco Theatre -- "Exploring the Press Room Collection" -- about letterpress movie posters from the past on Friday, October 10, 2025:
