TORTILLA PRESS
This time we made prints on a
REAL TORTILLA PRESS, and handed them out for free to the public. We printed round linocuts, 4 inch diameter:

COLLABORATION
She carved these erasers
(like Serena Rios McRae), so we asked her to stamp some of our Tortilla Prints:

We definitely have to follow up on this spontaneous printmaking collaboration, perhaps at the next
PRINTERS PLANET event on August 13, 2023 in Santa Fe.
GUEST PHOTOGRAPHER
A guest photographer made a print for us, and then took pictures with our camera. Unfortunately I did not catch her name, but I appreciate the good photos:

MORE PRINTMAKING PHOTOS
Ellie Weadock did most of the printmaking on the Tortilla Press, and perhaps her linocuts were the most requested:

GUADALAJARA
All the small round linocuts are going Mexico, for a "Print Off" in Guadalajara, from both Mexican and El Paso (plus New Mexican) printmakers. In fact, we borrowed the ideas of both the tortilla press and the small round linocuts from
3 Gatos Press of Guadalajara:

We kept very busy making prints and had a good time visiting with the public and the other printmakers. I am indebted to
Ellie Weadock for helping out and making most of the prints, she made the event a big pleasure.
