PREPARATION

Luis Roacho -- Artes Visuales
Eduardo Reyes -- Diseno/Filosofia
Candido Valdez -- Printmaking

Previously Karl printed many of the tessellation linocuts in the Albuquerque collection for the Juarez exhibition:

Karl ordered 120 small 8x8 inch frames from Amazon, and picked them up at Whole Foods in Albuquerque on August 4th, 2025.  Five big boxes did not fit in his Honda Fit:

Karl had to take the frames out of the big boxes
in order to fit them in his car

All 120 frames fit in four smaller boxes
to transport to El Paso/Juarez

Karl put all the Albuquerque prints in two scrap books in alphabetical order:

The names of the artists were written in pencil,
lightly on the back of each print

Four boxes of frames for Albuquerque and Tucson prints, six buckets of frames for El Paso prints, ready to be taken to Juarez:

made it across the border

On Monday, August 18th, all of Albuquerque and Tucson frames and prints made it to the gallery, as well as two of the six buckets of the El Paso collection:

We also left a stack of "hat" linoleum tessellation tiles, and another stack of stiff foam curvy tessellation tiles, for the printmakers in Juarez:
