PRINTED MATTER Festival in Santa Fe

PRINTED MATTER Festival

During the PRINTED MATTER Festival in Santa Fe on Sunday, July 10th, 2022, we exhibited prints in the Axle Contemporary mobile art van.  We also made 8x8 inch prints on the Tortilla Press and Skateboard Press, and gave them out free to the public.

WE TOOK THE IDEA of printing with a Tortilla Press from 3 Gatos Press -- Xavier Moreno and Alejandra Mares --  with Meño Miranda, of Guadalajara.  In 2019 they took Manuel Guerra, Marco Sanchez and Krrrl to make prints with the Tortilla Press on the streets of Tlaquepaque.

We handed out 6x6 inch linoleum squares before the festival, for artists to bring to have made on the Tortilla Press.  Four artists from Santa Fe gave us linocuts -- Yuki Murata, Jerry Wellman, Nina Mastrangelo and Kathleen McCloud:

We received three prints from the Santa Fe artists
to print for the public
