Live Printmaking at the ABQ Rail Yards

Karl printed live with an Adjustable Tortilla Press, at the ABQ Rail Yards Market with Quelab, on Sunday, June 9, 2024:




The idea was to show off live printmaking, with as small of a set-up as possible.

We printed:


All the printing supplies (except for the table) fit in one plastic box, which was easy to carry around:



An unexpected AR Alien Javelina visitor came from down south and invaded our space:

The images for all the round linocuts were generated with AI using Midjourney.  Naturally the most requested print image was of the roadrunner:

Karl later combined the AI images together to make a print with the theme "Eclipse."  The edition was sent to Durango, Mexico, to participate in a Print Exchange there sponsored by "Laboratorio Siete Vidas."
