The power of showing small prints
2022
We had a great year showing BUCKET PRINTS (including prints from URUAPAN, Michoacán) of framed 8x8 inch prints in Albuquerque, El Paso, Ciudad Juarez, Santa Fe and Silver City.
One of the major highlights was exhibiting Mexican and Southwest printmakers during the Southwest Print Fiesta 2022 in Silver City, New Mexico:
The BASIC CONCEPT is to carry a bucket of small prints and have both spontaneous and long term exhibitions in smaller venues.
As the 8x8 inch prints (paper size) travel nicely in an envelope across the border, we were also able to solicit and exhibited works from Mexican printmakers -- from Ciudad Juarez, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Uruapan and Oaxaca -- alongside work from Southwest printmakers. 8x8 inches is the perfect paper size for exhibiting internationally (as we did with the Ambos Lados International Print Exchange).
