We continued with live printmaking (on 8x8 inch paper) in Albuquerque at the SANITARY TORTILLA FACTORY gallery on March 8, 2024:

Henry Morales was featured in the exhibition -- PRINTED MATTER -- and brought his live printmaking crew with him:

Krrrl cheated and used Artificial Art programs to generate AI Art, which he then altered with PHOTOMOSH ("Linocut" setting) and engraved into linoleum using the laser cutter at Quelab:

***ALSO*** the PRINTERS PLANET is hoping to bring a print market to Taos.  Moreover they are planning on returning to Santa Fe again this August 2024.  It was a big success last year in 2023:

Highlands University in Las Vega, New Mexico will have another PRINT PRINTED PRINTING event on February 23rd and 24th, 2024 (the opening exhibition is on February 23rd):

Meanwhile the BIG INK collaboration is coming along nicely:

  • Stephanie Weiner invited some of the BIG INK artists to her housewarming party on February 3rd, 2024

REMARQUE PRINT WORKSHOP is moving from their present Central Avenue location in Albuquerque, to the old Tortuga Gallery next year in 2025.  However they started refurbishing the building with a work party on February 4th, 2024:

  • Note that Remarque will also be running an AirBnB next door to their new print workshop.

In mid-February 2024, this huge red curtain appeared in downtown Albuquerque, covering a chain link fence protecting a building project.  The design is by MALCOLM KING, who participated in the Ambos Lados International Print Exchange.  It would be even more wonderful if the building also incorporated some of Malcolm's design:

Brian brought his LEGO Press to Quelab and made prints from LEGO plates on February 1, 2024:

Now we are wondering if we can make prints on an old credit card imprinter, from a 3D printed plate:

Can we print with and old credit card imprinter?
